Jack Bonney - General Manager

Call me the chief, call me the gatekeeper, call me whatever you want. My main duty as General Manager for WUAG is to keep everything running the way it should run. We at WUAG have been blessed with a wonderful high frequency position of 103.1 FM, and it is my job to have this station doing everything it can and should be. Making sure WUAG is known by everyone on the campus of UNCG and in the city of Greensboro is the impossible task I try to make come true. If there is any way in which you think WUAG can improve, or if there is some event WUAG should cover please contact me at
wuag@uncg.edu.

Sports. That's what I'm here for. I am responsible for making sure that the sports updates are current and stellar. My goal is to bring the non-traditional sports story to attention. As sports director, I try to promote Spartan and extreme sports in particular. If you ever want to talk sports just come by the office or pull up a chair and listen to The Sports Cycle on Monday nights where you can hear some great interviews and commentary on all things sports. Lane Sowinski - Music Director
I feel that WUAG has not had as much rock and/or weirdness that we should so that is one of my main goals as Music Director. I was born and raised on riffs and jams to the extent that it is probably the majority of what I think about. Double lead guitar is heavenly, so is double bassists or double drummers or all of the above. I feel like if you look at rotation you should be able to get a good perspective on who I am and what I am about. I make it interesting, I make it fun, I make it look good, I make it tasty, I make you want to play it. If a band sounds like Zeppelin, MC5, or Motorhead, it'll probably be in there. If you know any great bands, local or national or international, shoot me an email, I am looking to really beef up rotation and stacks with new stuff and reissues. Oh and Valient Thorr is the best band ever. THORRIORS UNITE!
Top CDs In Rotation RIGHT NOW:
1. Valient Thorr - Immortalizer
2. Melvins - Nude With Boots
3. Afrobeat Nirvana
4. Totimoshi - Milagrosa
5. Jackson Conti - Sujinho
6. The Cool Kids - Bake Sale
7. Black Skies - Hexagon
8. Awesome Color - Electric Aborigines
9. Boris - Smile
10. Dr. Dog - Fate

Jessamyn Stanley - News Director

As news director, I spend most of my time perusing newspapers and watching live news feeds so the WUAG listener always has up to the minute information on things occurring outside of the UNCG bubble. I also pester local politicians into talking to me about random issues, and I spend a fair amount of time expounding my theories on the universe to people who may not actually care. If you come across an interesting issue and would like to record a news brief/discuss the issue ad nauseam, my office door is always open (not really, but my office hours are always posted.) You can also feel free to e-mail me: jostanle@uncg.edu .
Jessamyn aime: capture the flag, long discussions, Citizen Kane, Burt’s bees lip balm, impromptu dance parties, and Kill Rock Stars.
Jessamyn n’aime pas: Biased news reporting, walnuts, citizens who don’t realize they represent the government, and governments who don’t represent the people.
