Hopscotch Ticket Giveaways

On WUAG August 30th - September 2nd

WUAG is a proud media sponsor for the first ever Hopscotch Music Festival being put on by The Independent.  Tune in the week of August 30th through September 1st to hear three WUAG related trivia questions.  THe questions will be announced during the hour of

7 - 8 pm.  We will take calls with the correct answers for the entire hour.  All winners will have their names entered into a drawing.  Then on Thursday, September 2nd between 7 - 8 pm a total of 5 names will be drawn for pairs of tickets to the City Plaza Showcases, an all club wristband access, and the grand daddy of them all a pair of tickets to everything.  Click on the link above to find out more about Hopscotch.

As a welcome back to school treat for all Greensboro students WUAG is collaborating with campus media outlets The Carolinian and The Coraddi to present a concert for one and all.  Performing will be Junk Culture.  Releasing their debut album "West Coast" on Girl Talk's label Illegal Art the band combines live drums with loads of samples & chill wave atmospheres.  Secret Message Machine is a Greensboro based four piece that has just released their best album to date, "Orphanville."  Get ready for plenty of lo-fi catchy riffs.  Embarrassing Fruits is coming from Chapel Hill and they have that early 90's Chapel thrill indie sound.  Click on the band links above to hear how good these acts sound.
